The Touch Me There!™ mission is to grow a movement of touch-based wellness providers who are committed to prioritizing client consent. It is also our mission to strengthen the bond between mental and medical healthcare partners and bodyworkers through education, collaborative care practices, professional development opportunities and a database of TMT designated providers and partners.

What's In a Name?
The most frequent question we get is, "Why?" Why did we choose that name?

We are living in a time when in-person connection is fading and virtual connection is surging. Simultaneously, the act of simple human-to-human physical touch is trending towards a marketplace commodity instead of a normative and loving platonic act between friends, family, community members and romantic partners. Recent research and publications have helped medical and mental healthcare professionals recognize how important the body is in recovery from physical, mental, emotional and spiritual ailments. Touch deprivation and mainstream recognition of the role touch plays in healing have increased the demand on professional touch providers.

As professional touch gains momentum, It's imperative that we become fluent in the act of asking for and receiving the kind of platonic, therapeutic touch that we really need and want. Asking someone to touch you in the precise way you want, for the amount of time that you want and in the places on your body that you want is a skill we need to normalize. It's time to change how we hear that simple request, "Would you please touch me there?"

So. We got your attention. Now, join us in growing a touch based and consent fluent culture! Click here for information on TMT sessions or TMT provider training in your area.
